alternia_strengthD --> Equius Zahhak has a typing quirk like most trolls
D --> He begins every line of a text message with the D --> symbol
D --> He refuses to use punctuation and tends to separate sentences with hard returns
D --> He replaces the letter X with %
D --> All hard 'oo' sounds are replaced with 00
D --> He also tends to capitalize words like STRONG or MIGHT
Simply put, this can be infuriating as hell to read. Blessedly, his color-choice isn't too glaring to the eyes, but I am well aware that many people really really REALLY don't like this sort of text thing. So, if you've got an issue with it, feel free to just tell me here or in PM. I'll spare you happily. It kind of makes my eyes bleed too.
ALSO: Equius is a bit of a creeper. While he is a bit too much of a tool to hold what you might consider a real romantic relationship easily, there's always a certain 'uncomfortable' aspect to talking to him, especially if your relative levels of authority come up. If that's going to be uncomfortable and you'd rather not deal with it, pop a line here and that quirk can be left out of interactions. If you're concerned that he's coming onto your character however, odds are he actually isn't. Equius really doesn't know how to flirt well, and doesn't know when not to be fascinated inappropriately by odd things in conversations.

Backtagging: To Infinity and Beyond! Yep, sure thing. If the plot has IC importance beyond friendly conversation, or within the events of the scene itself, and we expect the scene to go long enough for it to matter, let's just touch base via PM and iron out any pertinent details. (This usually isn't an issue unless it's going to go past a month.) Doesn't matter though, backtag away.
Threadhopping: Yep, go ahead.
Fourthwalling: Only for those characters with an IC reason to know about the Homestuck canon.
IC Permissions:
Hugging Equius: Expect him to react... poorly to this unless you have reason to do so. By poorly, I mean sweating profusely and acting in a confusing, awkward and inappropriate fashion.
Flirting with Equius: He can be really skeevy, but go ahead. Do not expect him to clearly understand flirtation attempts on most occasions, as the way he flirts is ... convoluted to be blunt.
Sex with Equius: Possible, though depending on the circumstances I may suggest handwaving. However, the boy is ridiculously awkward about romance, for all that he is a horrendous pervert with an obsession on all things dominance-related. The odds of him being able to get past his awkwardness and actually consummate a relationship sexually without extensive IC development are somewhat low.
...well, unless you're Aradia. He'd probably do anything she asked (ignoring the fact that she's not likely to ask anything of him).
Power Use on Equius: Go for it, but a heads up is nice on mind-affecting powers.
